My internship (March–June) took place at Reskill Corp, a B2B corporate training company operating across Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, with a catalogue of over 1,100 training programs. Based at their Shinjuku office in Tokyo, I spent three months on their business development team, learning to think in systems, work across languages and cultures, and implement better strategies.

Day to day

I worked five days a week at Reskill’s Shinjuku office, splitting my hours between CRM analytics and cleanup, SEO research, B2B lead management, and translating Japanese training content into English. Alongside that I produced marketing visuals and PowerPoint decks, and drafted outreach and follow-up email campaigns.

Projects

My first project was a dashboard built on top of Reskill’s CRM, pulling together years of data so the team could analyse it alongside their marketing budget and draw real conclusions. I developed it and then reviewed it together with my mentor and other members of the team.

Next, I connected the dashboard directly to the underlying Excel file, so that whenever the CRM data updated, the dashboard updated automatically.

My final project used Microsoft Clarity to analyse the website’s SEO and surface improvements. I identified several fixes, which my company mentor passed on to the ICT department.
